The annual Kent Creativity Festival provides an opportunity for people of all ages and skill levels to come together to create, share, and explore the creation of all forms of art.
A group of local stakeholders, including Kent State University, the City of Kent, Main Street Kent, local nonprofit organizations, and Kent businesses, plans the festival. This event is a great opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy a hands-on environment that allows everyone to be an artist!
Sponsored by the City of Kent and the Kent State University College of the Arts, this annual outdoor festival takes place on the Lester A. Lefton Esplanade between Kent State’s Rockwell Hall on Lincoln Street and downtown Kent. The event will feature a wide variety of interactive creative activities presented by local and regional artists and art educators. Attendees can enjoy hands-on activities in jewelry-making, weaving, dance, silk screen, architecture, creative writing, improvisational theatre, poetry, sewing, and music therapy. This multi-generational event is free and open to everyone.
