SUMMARY:Central Ohio Folk Festival 2021 – A Virtual Event
DESCRIPTION:Central Ohio Folk Festival – Sat\, May 22\, 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.  An all-day virtual event in 2021 produced by the Columbus Folk Music Society and co-sponsored by WCBE 90.5FM. \nMultiple daytime performers\, interactive music workshops\, kid’s programming and crafts. The Saturday evening headliner is international touring Americana duo Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams. In 2008\, Larry was awarded the Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award for Instrumentalist and is perhaps best known for being a member of Bob Dylan’s tour band from 2007 to 2004.  \nAlso expect talent-filled daytime performances representing a wide swath of roots music: folk\, bluegrass\, old-time\, Americana\, and singer-songwriter. Kids’ programming includes Columbus favorite The Shazzbots\, as well as additional interactive programming with veteran kids’ musicians and craft sessions. In addition\, there are seven interactive workshops covering everything from guitar and ukulele\, to banjo and old-time fiddle. \nFestival access this year is by ticket purchase only. Tickets are $15 for an individual OR $25 for a household. DESCRIPTION:Art in The Park\, held on the shady green of Medina Square\, returns for the 47th year. Stroll through 130 tents of fine artists representing painters\, photographers\, sculptors\, ceramicists\, jewelers\, and much more. Music plays in the afternoon\, and there are many places to get great food to eat. Stop by the Scholarship Tent to buy a chance to win a piece of art donated by the exhibitors. Scholarships go to budding Medina County High School seniors. Free parking in city lots. Event is held rain or shine.
